Tourism Com­mis­sion UBC was esta­bli­shed in 1996 to pro­mote tourism in the Bal­tic region. Com­mis­sion focu­ses on edu­ca­tion and deve­lop­ment of susta­ina­ble tourism. Cha­ir­man of the Tourism Com­mis­sion of 10.01.2005 is Ryszard Zdro­jew­ski, Kosza­lin.

Objec­ti­ves of the Com­mission:

•      Inte­gra­tion of the Bal­tic Sea Region com­mu­ni­ties thro­ugh bet­ter under­stan­ding of each other, exchange infor­ma­tion, tourism and tourism sup­port.
•      Better coör­di­na­tion of tourism in the Bal­tic Sea Region by cre­ating a network of coöpe­ra­tion between cities, the deve­lop­ment of inter­per­so­nal rela­tion­ships and the use of the Inter­net.
•      Susta­ina­ble deve­lop­ment of tourism infra­struc­ture by ini­tia­ting pro­jects based on Euro­pean Union pro­grams.
•      Promo­ting active and heal­thy life­style, in which tourism plays a signi­fi­cant role.
